Meet Dr. Jorge Reveron

I'm Dr. Jorge Reveron — a bilingual primary care physician, health educator, and founder of Docere Life.

My work sits at the intersection of medicine, culture, and communication: helping patients, communities, and organizations better understand their health and take meaningful action.

I was born in Venezuela and raised in Texas. I knew early on that I wanted to become a doctor. I just didn't know what kind of doctor I wanted to be.

I studied biology at the University of Houston, worked in an anatomy lab at Baylor, and helped run bilingual education research. I filled out medical school applications — and never submitted them. Something didn't fit. Then I found naturopathic medicine at a conference, and something clicked. This was the kind of doctor I wanted to be: one who listens first, explains second, and gives patients the time and understanding they deserve.

I completed a master's in Fitness and Human Performance, then naturopathic medical school in Arizona. For almost ten years, I've practiced primary care with a focus on men's health and hormonal health. I teach, I write, and I still get excited about lab panels.

Today I live in Portland, Oregon. I write a weekly newsletter called Camino a Tu Salud, host Coffee with Dr. Jorge, and lead Docere Life — bilingual corporate wellness programs for companies that want to create healthier, more connected workplaces.

I'm not the loudest voice in the room. I'm the one you end up talking to for two hours without realizing it. That's the medicine.

What I Believe

I believe health education changes lives when people understand the why—not just the what.

I believe the conversations that create lasting change rarely happen in a clinic. They happen over coffee, around the dinner table, and between people who trust one another.

I believe health isn't built through perfection. It's built through small, consistent choices—sharing real meals, making time for rest, moving your body, and finding a pace of life you can sustain.

I believe trust begins with honesty. That's why I share my own contradictions—the pizza, the restless nights, the mornings when motivation is hard to find. People don't need a perfect doctor. They need one who understands what it means to be human.

And I believe my greatest strength is seeing the world through two cultures and two languages. Being bilingual and bicultural isn't just part of my story—it's how I help people feel seen, understood, and empowered to take ownership of their health.
